Same Ingredients for Two Different Meals Part 2 - Pesto Salmon Roll


Have you tried “Same Ingredients for TwoDifferent Meals Part 1 - Pesto Salmon”? Then, I would like to share how to use the rest of ingredients. Yes. A Pesto Salmon Roll.
 
Oven temperature setting: 200C/392F for the first 10 minutes, then lower the temperature to 180C/356F for another 15 to 20 minutes
Recipe: for one salmon roll and one 8” pizza

Steps of Pizza Dough
(Selena’s Kitchen Talk: Repeat again. If you already follow part 1, please skip these steps)
(1) Weight all ingredients well
(2) Place Strong Flour, Plain Flour, Granulated Sugar and Salt into a big bowl. And then, stir a while.
(Selena’s Kitchen Talk: The use of yeast varies due to different manufacturers. Check the instructions.)
(3) Add yeast into the mixture. Mix it.


(4) Then, 180 ml milk into the bowl as well. Stir and mix into well until there is no flour.
(5) Move the dough ball into a lightly floured work space. Knead the olive oil into the dough
(6) Add the rest of 30ml milk into the dough gradually during the kneading. The dough should be kneaded into smooth and elastic dough.
(7) Shape the dough into a ball. Move it back to the lightly greased bowl. And brush some watch or milk on the surface of the dough ball. Wait around 1~2 hours until it doubles the size.


 Steps of Salmon Fillings

(1) Prepare a fried pan. Add some oil into the pan. Fried the half of salmon (60 g) until it is Medium-Well.
(2) Place chopped onion and mushrooms into the pan. Fried them until it turns tender.
(3) Use the spatula to slice salmon into small pieces. And add 25 ml pesto and 1/2 salt into the pan. Mix them well. Set aside.

 Steps of Assembly

(1) Roll the dough into 25cm by 35 cm rectangular.
(2) See the below picture, follow the red line and slice the dough.

(3) Place salmon filling in the middle of dough. Drizzle 35 g grated cheese over the top.
(4) Fold the end dough to the filling.
 

(5) Fold the sliced dough over the top at one side. And then, fold another side of the sliced dough over the top.
(6) Repeat step (5) until the last 3 stripes left.
 

(7) Fold the bottom of the dough over the filling
(8) Repeat step (5) until the end
(9) Brush some whipped egg. Then, send it to the pre-heated oven at 200C/392F for the first 10 minutes, then lower the temperature to 180C/356F for another 15 to 20 minutes
